Feather Stole My Friend Owns A Tiny Historical Hotel In The Country?

My friend owns a tiny historical hotel in the country? - feather stole

It has 5 bedrooms and a small hut. It's no Hilton, but it is beautiful. All rooms are individually furnished with much joy. The other day a guest had 600 sheets bed sheets and feather beds with duvets on the beds and the pillows. So, after the long explanation, I wonder if they can assess the missing elements for free? Damage totaled about $ 700. It was not that your guests a waiver or otherwise, that the credit card slip to sign. What can they do to be compensated for the missing elements?

Every state has different laws about this, but I do not have it before. They identify with the local authorities (police, sheriff) to the local laws and to submit a report. Then, research your hotel to see the state laws, what you can do. Then you must determine what are the requirements on the company credit card. For example, there is a review of the form was signed stating, is that the customer is responsible for theft or damage? This may or may not be necessary. In the end of May to the need to prove that the customer has stolen the goods, and could be difficult. Or he may not receive the full amount of the credit card! The customer, of course, deny the allegations, but they seem to have a 50/50 shot here. In the future, change their roles for the recurrence of such incidents account.
